Northern Rail Extension Project

Welcome to the Northern Rail Extension website

The Alaska Railroad Corporation (ARRC) plans to extend the existing rail line from its terminus near North Pole, Alaska, 80 miles to a point near Delta Junction. The line will ultimately provide improved transportation options for the U.S. military, mass transit, and freight movement. Here you will find up-to-date information on the project, the route, construction phases, and how you can stay informed about the project.

You need Adobe Reader to view any pdf's on the Northern Rail Extension website.

PARKS HIGHWAY TRAVEL ADVISORY: Concrete Girders for Piledriver Slough Bridge will be coming from Anchorage on the Parks Highway. Motorists may expect to see girders on the road, Tuesday, May 28th and Friday, May 30th
