Northern Rail Extension Project

Completion of the 80-mile long Northern Rail Extension will take several years. Construction will occur in four stages starting in 2010.

1. Tanana River crossing at Salcha
2. Moose Creek to Salcha
3. Salcha Crossing to Donnelley
4. Donnelley to Delta Junction

While funding for the Tanana River crossing has been secured, construction of phases two, three, and four is subject to the ARRC obtaining additional funding through Federal appropriations, revenue bonds, or other sources.
